History Chrysler was respected in its production of war material from 1942 to 1945, and Dodge in certain was well understood to both average citizens and glad soldiers for their tough military-spec truck models and ambulances like the WC54. Beginning with the hastily converted VC series and developing into the renowned WC series, Dodge built a strong credibility and reputation for itself that easily rollovered into civilian models after the war. Civilian production at Dodge was rebooted by late 1945, in time for the 1946 design year. The "seller's market" of the early postwar years, induced by the absence of any brand-new automobiles throughout the war, indicated that every car manufacturer found it easy to offer automobiles regardless of any disadvantages they might have. Like practically every other automaker, Dodge sold lightly facelifted modifications of its 1942 design through the 1948 period. As before, these were a single series of six-cylinder designs with 2 trim levels (fundamental Deluxe or plusher Custom). This beautiful 46 Dodge Restomod Truck was acquired out of Pennsylvania. The previous owner purchased the truck as a corrosion complimentary Oklahoma survivor and did the restoration in his store. The truck has just 400 miles since being developed!
